I recently completed a short project for Sabah Shoes, helping the company review and develop the product descriptions of their shoes on their website. The project also involved developing SEO descriptions for their search engine listing.
The project started with a review of the product descriptions for Sabah’s best-selling styles. After pulling the current product descriptions from the company’s website, these were proofread to highlight proposed areas of development.
Proposed changes were then outlined. These included balancing copy length across products, repositioning information in other sections, developing a unique voice for each style, and removing repetitive phrasing. The best-selling product descriptions were redrafted to showcase how these changes would be implemented.
In total, eleven product descriptions were reviewed, with redrafts prepared for the six best-selling styles, implementing adjustments to the writing style as outlined in my proposals.
